As part of its commitment to advancing sustainable and climate-smart agriculture in Pakistan, Green Agri Marketing continues to engage with key national stakeholders to promote the adoption of innovative biological technologies in crop production.

On 28 July 2026, Mr. Kashif Khan, Director of Green Agri Marketing, met with Dr. Khadim Hussain, Deputy Food Security Commissioner (Cum. Cotton Commissioner), Ministry of National Food Security & Research, Pakistan Secretariat, Islamabad.

The meeting focused on the role of Trichoderma harzianum as a biological control agent and biofertilizer for sustainable cotton production. Discussions highlighted its potential in managing soil-borne plant pathogens, improving soil health, enhancing nutrient availability, increasing crop productivity, and strengthening the resilience of cotton farming systems in the face of climate change.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the growing importance of nature-based agricultural solutions for improving the sustainability and competitiveness of Pakistan’s cotton sector. Particular emphasis was placed on accelerating the adoption of scientifically validated biological technologies that can reduce dependence on synthetic agrochemicals while supporting healthier soils and higher yields.

Drawing on his extensive experience at the Pakistan Central Cotton Committee (PCCC), Multan, Dr. Khadim Hussain emphasized the importance of promoting biological agriculture as part of Pakistan’s strategy for sustainable crop production. He expressed his support for encouraging the wider adoption of Trichoderma harzianum and other biological technologies to help farmers address the challenges of climate change, improve crop health, and enhance cotton productivity through environmentally responsible farming practices.

Mr. Kashif Khan shared Green Agri Marketing’s ongoing efforts in research, commercial field demonstrations, farmer capacity building, and stakeholder engagement aimed at expanding the use of biological crop protection and biofertilizer technologies across Pakistan. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to working closely with government institutions, research organizations, development partners, and the private sector to accelerate the commercialization and adoption of sustainable agricultural innovations.
