Green Agri Marketing Engages Gourmet Rasool Nawaz Sugar Mill to Promote Biological Solutions for Sustainable Sugarcane Production

On 27 July 2026, Kashif Khan, Director Sales & Marketing of Green Agri Marketing (Pvt.) Ltd., met with Rafaqat Ali Amjad, General Manager Cane, Gourmet Rasool Nawaz Sugar Mill, Samundri, Faisalabad, to discuss the adoption of Trichoderma harzianum-based biological technology for sustainable sugarcane production.
The meeting focused on the use of Trichoderma harzianum as a biological control agent and biofertilizer for the management of soil-borne diseases, enhancement of sugarcane productivity, and improvement of sugar recovery in compliance with Bonsucro sustainability principles.
During the meeting, Kashif Khan presented Green Agri Marketing’s commercial field results, demonstrating the effectiveness of the technology in improving crop health, strengthening root development, suppressing soil-borne pathogens, increasing cane yield, and enhancing sugar recovery. He highlighted the successful commercial validation of the technology at Ramazan Sugar Mill (gate area, Chiniot) and the Indus Sugar Mills Research Farm at Kot Mithan, Rajanpur, where the biological solution delivered outstanding results under commercial farming conditions. The successful outcomes demonstrated the technology’s potential to improve sugar recovery, increase productivity, and support environmentally sustainable sugarcane production.
Mr. Rafaqat Ali Amjad appreciated the commercial achievements and expressed keen interest in evaluating and adopting Trichoderma harzianum-based biological solutions within the mill’s cane development programme. Both parties agreed that nature-based agricultural technologies can play a vital role in improving farm productivity, enhancing sugar recovery, promoting soil health, and supporting the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of Pakistan’s sugar industry.
