Phase III Commercial Adoption Meeting & Field Validation; Kashmir Sugar Mills Limited, Shorkot
01 October 2026
Green Agri Marketing (GAM) conducted a strategic meeting with DGM Cane, Mr. Rana Maqsood Ahmed, along with the Cane Development Team of Kashmir Sugar Mills Limited, Shorkot, Punjab, to discuss the transition toward Phase III – Commercial Adoption of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and biological control technology (trichoderma harzainum G8 strains) in sugarcane production.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Kashif Khan, Director Sales & Marketing, Green Agri Marketing, and Mr. Zafar Iqbal, Product Development Manager, Green Agri Marketing.
The Phase III discussion followed the validation and field observations generated during Phase II, with the objective of moving from experimental/commercial validation toward broader farmer-level adoption of biological technology for sustainable sugarcane production.
Field Visit & Sugar Recovery Assessment
Following the meeting, the GAM and Kashmir Sugar Mills teams conducted a field visit to the sugarcane farm of Ch. Abdul Majeed Gohar (Retired Principal), Allah Yar, Shorkot.

The crop was established through February 2026 sowing, where Green Agri Marketing’s biological control technology (trichoderma harziaum) was applied as part of the crop management program.
During the field visit, cane quality and sugar content were assessed using a refractometer. The field reading recorded up to 23% sugar content/Brix in the tested cane.
This field observation provides an encouraging basis for further commercial validation of biological IPM technology, particularly in relation to crop establishment, plant health, cane quality and sugar recovery.
Key Objectives of Phase III
- Transition from Phase II validation toward commercial-scale adoption.
- Promote biological control as a component of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in sugarcane.
- Strengthen farmer-level adoption of sustainable crop protection practices.
- Monitor cane quality and sugar recovery under biological crop management.
- Establish systematic field data for commercial-scale implementation.
- Reduce dependency on conventional chemical-based crop protection where biological alternatives are technically appropriate.
- Continue collaboration between Kashmir Sugar Mills Limited and Green Agri Marketing for sustainable sugarcane production.
Important Field Observation

Farmer: Ch. Abdul Majeed Gohar (Retired Principal)
Location: Allah Yar, Shorkot
Crop: Sugarcane
Sowing: February 2026
Technology: Green Agri Marketing biological control technology
Assessment: Refractometer field testing
Recorded reading: Up to 23%
Note: Refractometer readings are field measurements and should be interpreted as Brix/soluble-solids readings unless a validated laboratory sugar-recovery analysis confirms actual commercial sugar recovery (CCS).
